Topeka Rugby, founded in the fall of 1972 by students from Washburn Universtiy School of Law. TRFC is a member of the Heart of America Rugby Football Union. HOARFU is one of 37 Local Area Unions within USA Rugby, and one of seven within the Territorial Union the Western Rugby Football Union

One of our famous graduates from the Topeka Rugby Club was Togiola Tualafano who is presently the Governor of American Samoa.

Prospective Players

No experience is required to join the club as TRFC welcomes all who want to play rugby. Dress weather appropriate as well as having cleats with no toe studs. A mouth guard would be a bonus! We will practice on Tuesday and Thursday evening at 5pm and as the days grow longer the start time will adjust. We understand people get off of work at 5pm so don't let that keep you from coming out! Being late is better than not being there at all. See you on the pitch!
