The Select XV against Canada 'A' in 2010 in Argentina

The USA Select XV is a pathway to become an Eagle. Consisting of players who play their rugby domestically, the Select XV coaching staff is identical to the Men's National Team. This gives players a chance to experience the National Team environment and also gives coaches an opportunity to see players compete at a high level.
Anually, the Select XV assembles and travels to compete in the Americas Rugby Championships (ARC). The Argentina Jaguars, Canada 'A', and Tonga 'A'. In 2010, the USA Select XV had a strong showing and defeated Tonga A in thrilling fashion, but was the only victory of the tournament. A heavy defeat at the hands of the host Argentina Jaguars and a narrow loss to Canada 'A' in the final match provided motivation for many of the players to improve on all levels.
Eight players on the 2010 ARC squad were selected to the Eagles squad that played in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
