As soon as you can pick up the ball and run with it, you can get involved with rugby! There are both non-contact and contact versions of the game, making it safe for all ages.
YOUTH RUGBY
Youth rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. Both non-contact and contact versions of the game are popping up in summer leagues, physical education classes, after school programs, YMCA's, Boys and Girls' Clubs and backyards all over the country.
HIGH SCHOOL RUGBY
High school rugby has also seen a rapid growth within the United States. USA Rugby's vision for high school rugby leading into 2011 is "To make rugby a legitimate high school sport opportunity for all athletes by providing a great experience on and off the field and by gaining recognition in high school and college administrations through growth in numbers of participants and an enhanced rugby brand."
To support this vision, USA Rugby offers materials and tools to start high school teams, enhance training sessions, introduce physical education components, details on the Junior Eagle program, and information about Varsity High School programs.
Use this section to navigate through all the Youth and High School resources available that will help with the growth of rugby at the high school level.
