Contact A Local Referee Organization
Local Referee Organizations are responsible for recruiting new referees, assigning referees to local matches, and hosting upcoming referee certification courses.  Find out what's going on in your area by contacting your LRO.
Certification Courses

As a Referee you can be involved at a level that suits your skills, experience or desire. USA Rugby has developed National Training Programs for all disciplines of officiating. These training programs cover the roles of referee, touch judge, and referee coach. These courses are approved by the International Rugby Board.

All Level 1 Officiating and Touch Judge courses are scheduled by the Local Referee Organization in that area.  These courses are taught by USAR certified Instructors and IRB licensed Educators.

All advanced level match official training courses are held on a regional basis--similar to USA Rugby's coaching workshops--and require hosting organizations.  If you are interested in hosting an advanced level course, click here to read about the hosting requirements and fill out the online application.  You can also fill out the hard copy of the RDP Host Application (below) and submit via email or fax.
