US Eagles prop Mike MacDonald is preparing himself for a barrage of mixed emotions when he takes the field for his team’s opening match against Ireland at Stadium Taranaki on Sunday.

Team USA and their World Cup opponents, Ireland, will commemorate the members of the rugby family that perished on 9-11 in their RWC opener on Sunday.

The United States Men’s National Rugby Team landed in New Zealand Friday afternoon to take part in the 2011 Rugby World Cup (RWC). They kickoff their World Cup campaign against Ireland on Sept. 11.
