Team USA Men's Rugby Sevens Team Assembled at OTC for Pan-American Games

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- Team USA's Men's Rugby Sevens team is currently assembled at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Chula Vista to prepare for the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico later this month.

A pool of 18 players made their way to the OTC on Friday October 14 and the final 12-man squad will depart for Guadalajara on October 24.  The rugby portion of the Games will be held from October 29-30 in Tlaquepaque Stadium. 

The Eagles will face pool opponents Brazil, Chile, and rivals Canada on October 29 and take part in the playoffs on October 30.  

The Pan-Am Games started last week and Team USA (all other teams representing the United States at Games) have tallied 25 medals in the games with 11 gold, five silver, and nine bronze.
