2015 NDS Featured Presenter: Billy Millard

"We are excited to learn from Billy's experiences from coaching grassroots rugby through to elite professionals."

USA Rugby's very own 15s High Performance Manager, Billy Millard, will be presenting at the 2015 National Development Summit in January.

Before Millard took over as head coach of the USA Rugby AIG Men's Junior All-Americans, he was an assistant coach with the Men's Eagles, who defeated Georgia and Russia in 2013 before qualifying for the IRB Rugby World Cup 2015 with a win against Uruguay earlier this year. He was also a member of the coaching staff during the Eagles' defeat of Canada in June, the first victory over the neighbors since 2009.

Before joining USA Rugby, Millard served as director of rugby at Sydney University, where he won back-to-back club championships. Amlin Cup and EDF Cup titles with the Cardiff Blues also highlight the résumé of the former Melbourne Rebels head coach.

Millard has helped develop world-class rugby players such as Leigh Halfpenny, Gethin Jenkins, James O'Connor, and Sam Warburton, and continues to help identify future Eagles and Olympians.

Millard will be presenting as part of the coaching track at the event on topics on the high performance pathway and a technical presentation on back line play and attack.

"The National Development Summit is a forum to share ideas and learn from the best," USA Rugby Coach Development Director Josh Sutcliffe said. "We are excited to learn from Billy's experiences from coaching grassroots rugby through to elite professionals."
