Eagle Alumni Spotlight: Meet Alison Price

"There are so many great memories and experiences to look back on. The best ones are just the people you meet along the way, players and coaches and the experiences you have together, killing time in a bus ride, ice baths, crying and laughing together." — Alison Price.

When and where did you play rugby?

I started my rugby career in Kansas City in 1999, playing for the KC Irish then the KC Jazz until 2004. I fell in love with 7s at the NASC 7s tournament in Long Beach, CA in 2002 playing with the West Mustangs I toured Trinidad & Tobago and Thailand with Atlantis 7s, played for the New York Rugby Club from 2005-2009, with the Northeast 7s from 2005-2009 and the NASC Champions in 2005, 06, 07 and 09. I was so lucky to have such great teammates and coaches throughout the years!

When did you play as an Eagle?

My first International 7's tournament was Hong Kong 7's in 2004 and I played as an Eagle from 2004 through 2009 where I ended my career at the Rugby 7's World Cup in Dubai where we finished in the top 4.

What is your favorite rugby memory?

There are so many great memories and experiences to look back on. The best ones are just the people you meet along the way, players and coaches and the experiences you have together, killing time in a bus ride, ice baths, crying and laughing together. If I had to choose one moment though, it would be when we won Hong Kong 7s in 2008 against Canada. It was a long-time dream of mine to play in Hong Kong Stadium, so it was very satisfying to achieve that and win!

What are you doing now?

I am living in Phoenix, AZ enjoying being a rugby fan and working to be fit and healthy, which isn't too hard when the sun is always shining. I have a great career with Gartner Research helping clients make business and technology decisions.
