Rugby community rallies around southeast Texas in time of need

Avenues of support open in wake of Hurricane Harvey. How you can help.

With heavy rain and weather projected to continue through Wednesday around the Houston area and southeast Texas, the rugby fellowship is getting a jump on support through its own network. As reported by Grant Cole of This is Texas Rugby, supportive efforts have already been initiated through Rugby Relief and a GoFundMe page.

From Cole's release;

If you...
• Need to be evacuated
• Need assistance with a flooded home (clean out, repairs, etc.)
• Know someone needing those services
• Want to donate money for relief efforts
• Want to volunteer your time
• Have space to house volunteers while they are in town

Please contact Rugby Relief at RugbyRelief@gmail.com. Justin Pidgeon (Austin Huns) and the team (made up of Austin Valkyries and Louisiana Lagniappe) at Rugby Relief help people in need, and have put a call out for volunteers.

Additionally, online submission forms are available for those looking to volunteer, host volunteers and request help. Click on the links provided for information on each. Donations can also be made to a general relief fund via a GoFundMe page.

If you want to donate necessities and other such materials, Grant Cole (This Is Texas Rugby) will be helping to direct that traffic. Please contact Grant Cole at grant.cole@gmail.com or by phone at 713-817-9784.
