Quiet Weekend in the Red River

Women's Division I:

Austin Valkyries defeated the Houston Athletic Rugby Club 35-12 and are now tied with Houston for first place in Division I. The Valkyries were successful in their attempts to spread the ball wide, as both of their wingers, Kathleen Todesco and Lusiana Tulega, crossed the line and scored the first two tries of the game. Valkyries play this weekend against Northern Virginia Rugby in the Gold Cup, and all signs point towards an excellent game of Rugby being played.

Women's Division II:

The Austin Valkyries D2 stopped the Dallas Athletic Rugby Club 56-24 and increased their lead in the South over second-place San Antonio Riveters.

Tulsa Rugby defeated Dallas Rugby 39-32 and jump to second  place in the North behind the Little Rock Stormers.

Women's Division III:

San Marcos Sirens forfeited their match this weekend against Bay Area Rugby.

Dallas Rugby defeated Dallas Harlequins, putting up over 85 points on them, to maintain first place in Division I. It is their sixth straight forty plus point victory. Up next for Dallas is a top of the table clash with the Austin Blacks. The Reds currently enjoy first place, by a bonus point difference, over the Blacks. This will be their first of two meetings that will likely decide who finishes atop the ladder.

The Glendale Merlins and the Little Rock Stormers fought to a 46-46 tie and maintain their place as third and fourth place in the division table.

Dallas Rugby D2 defeated the Dallas Harlequins D2 scoring over 100 points and increase their first-place lead in the North.

Fort Worth Rugby club tied the Dallas Athletic Rugby Club 28-28. Fort Worth will face fifth-place Dallas Harlequins on Saturday.
