Red River Riots as Upsets are Seen Throughout the Weekend

Division I - Women:

Houston Athletic defeated Dallas 41-17 and moved into first in the division, five points ahead of Austin who they face Saturday.

Division II -Women:

The South leading Austin Valkyries D2 picked up a 55-0 victory over second-place San Antonio Riveters. They now have a ten-point lead in the South division standings. Little Rock picked up a 68-17 victory over Tulsa. Little Rock was led by Zenobia Bowman's three tries.

Division I -Men:

The Austin Blacks picked up a win over Glendale Merlins 46-35. Austin trails Dallas Rugby by one point in the standings. The Little Rock Stormers picked up 29-21 victory over the Dallas Harlequins. Jonathan Sanders scored a try in the 80th minute to secure the Stormers victory. Dallas Rugby remain at the top of the table with an 89-3 victory over Austin Huns.

Division II -Men:

Fort Worth Rugby Club fell to the visiting Dallas D2 59-21. Dallas Rugby D2 now sits ten points ahead over second place Tulsa Rugby. Houston Athletic defeated Austin Huns D2 70-7. Houston Athletic remains at top of the South standings. Houston United defeated San Antonio 49-36. Liles Alexander was a perfect 7 for 7 on conversions. West Houston defeated central division leading Austin Blacks D2 32-30. Austin remains atop the central division tied with San Marcos. The Woodlands picked up a 32-25 victory over San Marcos. The Woodlands had five different players score on tries.

Division III-Men:

Grand Prairie defeated Alliance Rugby 26-15 in a clash of the top two teams in the Division North.  Grand Prairie is two points behind Alliance in the standings. Abilene picks up its first points of the season with a 59-26 victory over Dallas D3Alamo City defeated Austin Huns D3 41-34 victory. They avenge a February loss. Bay Area defeated  29-14 in a match between the two teams at the bottom of the D3 South standings. Corpus Christi moves into fourth place in the standings with a 12-0 victory over San Antonio D3.

Division IV-Men:

Fort Worth Rugby Club D4 defeated Denton Rugby 26-12 in a showdown of top two teams in the North. There is now a tie for first between Fort Worth Rugby and Alliance D4. Tyler defeated Dallas Athletic Rugby Club D4 26-7. Tyler now carries a three-match undefeated streak. Alliance defeated Dallas Diablos 139-5. Alliance was led by Amaechi Stegman's five tries.
