Road Wins and a PRP Tie in the Pacific South

Pacific South clubs were flush with high scoring matches on March 24th and a majority of traveling teams coming out victorious. Tied for second place in the Division I PRP, Belmont Shore met San Francisco Golden Gate and still came out tied. San Fernando Valley's number five Josh Sexton scored a try in the 80th minute to overcome DII leader Pasadena Rugby. In DIII play, all the visiting teams locked up a win. Women's DI second place Belmont Shore fought back with three tries in the second half but couldn't hold off the San Diego Surfers DI club. Number twelve Carli Watt converted four and scored a try to help guide Women's DII San Luis Obispo to victory over the Fullerton Wolfpack.

In the heated battle for second place, San Francisco Golden Gate traveled to meet Belmont Shore in Long Beach. Belmont Shore had the lead the 36-17 until the 65th minute when San Francisco number eight Matangi Tonga scored a hat trick. The whistle was blown with a 36-36 final score. Both teams remain tied in second place with 21 points and a record of 3-2-1. Old Mission Beach Athletic Club are still undefeated after six weeks of play following their 46-10 win against home team Olympic Club Rugby. The Santa Monica Dolphins came back against the Life West Gladiators with a 76th minute try from number 15 Quinn Perry resulting in a 20-17 victory.

Men's Division II:
Group A saw San Fernando Valley victorious over points leader Pasadena Rugby, 24-17. Oceanside Chiefs won on the road, 37-11, against Los Angeles Rugby. Group B leaders, San Diego Old Aztecs beat the Back Bay Sharks 31-21. Las Vegas Irish, Group C leader, toppled the Red Mountain Warthogs, 51-29. Ventura County Outlaws locked up a 57-8 win over the Huntington Beach Unicorns.

Men's Division III:
Orange County Ravens are just two points from second place in the SoCal division after their 38-24 win over Kern County. Old Pueblo Lions lost at home 23-29 to the Tucson Magpies. Las Vegas Irish D3 beat the Arizona division leader, Phoenix Rugby, 26-22. Scottsdale Blues, tied with the Magpies for second place, won 83-24 over Camelback Rugby. Sante Fe Santos won on the road over New Mexico Brujos, 36-17.   

Men's Division IV

South Bay Stingrays beat out the Oxy Olde Boys, 69-34. San Diego Armada beat Los Angeles Rebellion.

Women's Division I
The San Diego Surfers D1 club beat second place Belmont Shore 39-24. First place Tempe Ninjas won 24-10 over the San Monica Dolphins.

Women's Division II
Old Pueblo Lightening remain undefeated and atop the leaderboard with their 53-29 win over Las Vegas Slots. Just three points out of first, second place Pasadena Rugby beat San Fernando Valley 31-7. San Luis Obispo won at home 48-22 over the Fullerton Wolfpack.
