It Was a Weekend of Firsts in the Frontier

There were some surprising results the Frontier region.

Over the weekend were a handful of games throughout the Frontier Region spreading from the first division of women's play through to the third division of the men. 

Women's Division I: 
It was the Glendale Merlins D1 taking on Black Ice, and coming away from the encounter with the victory, 28-12. Glendale's number eight Adekemi Adewummi led the way crossing the line twice to help secure the win. Madison Slaught the inside center for the Merlins also had herself a day kicking three from four conversions and adding a try to her tally. With their bonus point win the Merlins now sit a top of the divisional ladder. 

Men's Division II: 
In the second division for men it was a busy weekend for the Mid-America division, with two games being played. The Omaha Goats fell to the Kansas City Blues 44-12. The Blues number eight crossed for a hat trick in the teams win. The other game was between the Saint Louis Royals and Kansas City Rugby, this game played out to a similar scoreline. The Royals walked away triumphant 44-17. 

Men's Division III:
The third division for the men, similarly, played two fixtures. In the match between Columbia Outlaws and Saint Louis Bombers D3, it was the Outlaws who defused Saint Louis and returned with the victory to a scoreline of 65-12. In the other match up it was a much a closer affair with the Mercenaries Rugby Club outlasting the Belleville Rowdies, 42-40.
