Pacific North Recap: Individual and Team Dominance Stand Out

Statements were made by teams, while Pacific North on a light schedule.

Women’s Division II:

Budd Bay Bandits looked to move up as they hosted Boise United.  From the gate, it was all Budd Bay and within 5 minutes the Bandits had stolen 19 points.  Unable to find an answer to Budd Bay’s staunch defense, Boise remained scoreless throughout the game, gaining a consolation try in the 74th Minute.  Budd Bay dominated Boise 92-5 behind the tremendous individual effort of Flyhalf Erin Stehr, who racked up 30 points as well as Flanker Erica Myers who dotted the ball down for 4 tries and 20 points.

Men’s Division III:

Marin Reds travelled to Mendocino Steam Donkeys as they hoped to maintain pressure on the top teams, who were on a bye this weekend.  The first half was all Marin.  Behind Scrumhalf Fatai Tokolahi’s 12 individual points, the Reds kept the Steam Donkeys off the board and led 0-17 at the half.  Tokolahi would add three more points to his tally as the Reds tamed the Steam Donkeys 12-25.

Oregon Sports Union D3 (ORSU D3) played host to Eugene Stags.  The Stags blanked ORSU D3 0-27 behind Flanker Michael Estis’ 12 points.  Battleground Bulls travelled to Seattle Quake, but probably wished they would have stayed home.  Throughout the entire game, there wasn’t a span of more than 4 minutes without a score.  Ahead 57-0 at the half, Quake averaged a point and a half a minute, acting a a matador to the Bulls, 128-12.
