Born in South Africa, Shaun Davies developed his love for rugby at the age of seven through his father. He moved to the United States to attend college where he represented BYU as a standout rugby player. Helping the cougars soar to two National Championships (2009 & 2012), also earning "Man of the Match" honors (2009), Davies was a no brainer for the Men's Eagles squad.
After graduation, Davies moved on to Life University where he played club rugby and simultaneously worked on his Master's Degree. In 2013, he officially made his Men's National Team debut, earning his first cap against Russia at England's Allianz Park.
Since then, Davies has been a considerable presence on the pitch, even helping the Men's Eagles clinch a historic second consecutive Americas Rugby Championship victory in 2018.
