Micheli was a member of the U.S. women’s rugby team for over a decade. She was also a member of the Radcliffe Rugby Club during her time at Harvard. She was the 1992 and Spring 1993 Forwards captain for Radcliffe, was on the 1993 NERFU Collegiate Select Side and was a 1995 All-American.

Amanda represented the Pacific Grizzlies at ITT’s in 1997, 1998, and 1999. She was selected to play for the USA Eagles Women’s Developmental side in their inaugural match against the Quebec Developmentals in June 2000. She was also selected to the 2000 USA Eagles squad for the annual Saranac Can-Am and the Canada Cup. She received her first cap at Saranac.

Micheli is currently a director and founder of Runaway Films. She earned an Oscar nomination for her film, La Corona.
