Collier started playing rugby as a student at the College of William and Mary in 1992. She was soon named to the Virginia Rugby Union Select Side, which is normally for adult players. After college she played with the Tidewater Storm later known as Norfolk Storm. She is recognized as a founder of the club and captain. She became captain of the New York Rugby Club and lead them to their first Division I National Championship in 2006. Collier transitioned to coaching and founded the NYRC U19/high school program in 2006. As an eagle, Collier earned 10 caps and participated in the 2002-2006 World Cup Cycle.
