USA Rugby's Regional Cup Tournaments (RCTs) are the pathway to collegiate rugby play, college recruitment and exposure, and selection to the High School All American Teams!

Each RCT has two Divisions for both boys and girls, 9/10 grade (JV) and 11/12 grade (Varsity), where America's best players compete for a Regional Cup Championship. Please see below for eligibility for each division.

What is RCT?

"RCT" stands for Regional Cup Tournaments. Each RCT is organized by the local State Rugby Organizations (SRO).


How do I participate in RCT?

Contact your local SRO to find out how to join an All-Star team attending a RCT near you!


How much are the Tournament fees?

Tournament fees are $450 per team, registration for teams will close June 1, 2017. The fees are the same for both 9/10 grade and 11/12 grade teams.


Who is eligible to play on an 11/12 grade team?

Player eligibility is determined by school grade.

This tier is comprised of only students enrolled as a Junior (11th grade) or Senior (12th grade) in high school for the 2016-2017 school year, and were 18 or younger on September 1st of the 2016-2017 school year. No college or adult players allowed.


Who is eligible to play on a 9/10 grade team?

Player eligibility is determined by school grade.

This tier is comprised of only students enrolled as a Freshmen (9th grade) or Sophomore (10th grade) in high school for the 2016-2017 school year. 8th graders or "rising 9th graders" are not permitted to participate in the 9/10 grade tier.


Will any player eligibility exceptions be granted for the 2017 Regional Cup Tournaments?

Player exceptions will be granted on a very limited basis for the 2017 RCT's. If you have a player you would like to have play up a tier (e.g. 10th grade player to play on the 11/12 grade team) please Click Here to review the exception requirements and complete the request form.

I'm trying to register for a tournament using the "Register Here" link above but it wants me to create an account, do I have to do this to register my team?

No, you do not need to register with Sports Engine to sign up for an RCT. When you click on "Register Here" there will be an option to "Continue as a guest", please click this link and you will be able to register your team without trouble.
