Former Eagle Shawn Pittman has been involved with USA Rugby for more than a decade. Before making his debut with the Men’s National Team in 2008, Pittman represented the United States at the U19 and U20 levels. After earning his first cap, the athlete played in the 2011 Rugby World Cup and even went on suit up 47 times with the London Welsh before closing out his playing career. 

As a coach, Pittman has served as an education coordinator with ATAVUS, Assistant Coach with the USA Stars & Stripes, Seattle Saracens and WA Logger — all in addition to his appointment with the Men’s Eagles. With the USA Rugby senior Men’s National Team, Pittman helped the Eagles cruise to their second consecutive title in the Americas Rugby Championship; also helping the team earn their biggest upset in program history over No. 6 Scotland in June of 2018.
